Institutional Control System
Windsor worked with with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to design and develop a new .NET based Institutional Control Data Management System (ICS). Implementation of an Institutional Control (IC) can be a lengthy process requiring specific legally binding documents signed by responsible parties. To further complicate matters, ICs often affect multiple locations and the respective responsible parties for these locations must also be involved. These controls are a vital tool in protecting the environment and human health. Arkansas’ ICS will help them manage their specific ICs including the source and extent of contamination, objectives of the IC, any utilized engineering controls, affected facilities, and affiliated parties to the IC, as well as the appropriate legal instruments to enforce it.
Windsor integrated the Institutional Control Data Management System with ADEQ's Permit Data Management System as one of several media specific modules available in that solution.
RESULTS THAT REWARD
While being specific to Arkansas, the solution is anticipated to be compliant with the planned ICS data flow as part of the Exchange Network, through which ADEQ plans to share their IC data with EPA.
