Web Content Management Application
Windsor designed and developed a custom content management (CM) solution for the Governor’s Web site that automates the provision of time-critical content. This project began with detailed analysis that identified and justified the types of content to be maintained via the new CM application, and an assessment of the current technical architecture employed by the Office of Financial Management and State’s Department of Information Services (DIS) to deliver web content to both internal and public communities.
From these efforts, a set of recommendations for enhancements to the architecture and creation of a custom CM solution were developed. A solution that met those recommendations was subsequently developed and deployed on time and under budget within what were considered by both the client and the vendor to be aggressive time-scales.
The implementation of the Governor’s CM solution bridged the gap between two unique architectures employed across three State agencies, and included functionality to manage the release of content between test and production environments.
