Windsor performed this project for the California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) to support their development of the required Greenhouse Gas (GHG) pilot data flow components. The Climate Registry (TCR), CCAR, EPA and several states are currently engaged in an Exchange Network (Network) project to pilot the exchange of GHG emissions data using the Consolidated Emissions Reporting Schema (CERS). The project aims to demonstrate a successful data exchange of GHG data from CCAR to TCR using network nodes and node client tools. This data exchange will serve as a proof of concept for the future flow of GHG emissions from States/Provinces/Tribes to TCR. An important part of piloting this GHG data exchange between CCAR and TCR is developing the necessary components to extract information from the CCAR online GHG reporting and calculation system (CARROT), format the data according to the CERS, and prepare it for submission to the TCR Network Node.
