A solid foundation for Metro Oregon's solid waste management

Effectively handling the solid waste of a major metropolitan area requires a seamless and unified IT approach. So when Metro Oregon approached us to help them consolidate multiple disparate systems into one ecosystem, we built them a secure, web-based, integrated solution that now powers every aspect of tracking and managing solid waste in the Portland area, including payment processing and weigh-scale systems. SWIS (Solid Waste Information System) was a custom development process, analyzing the challenge and then building a unique solution.

Holding more than just data

Tank management in Massachusetts

Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection needed help consolidating every aspect of their tank management infrastructure, from compliance to communicating with the public. Because of specific aspects of the challenge, we chose to go with a hybrid custom/modular approach, creating a system from scratch while integrating pre-built inspection and compliance modules. The result was UST Data Management System, a CROMERR-compliant, e-Reporting inspection tool with built-in enforcement features and a public inquiry site.

Expanding KEIMS

The flexibility of EDE

As part of an nVIRO implementation, the Kansas Environmental Information Management System (KEIMS) had successfully consolidated all of the Kansas Bureau of Air's permitting information into one data ecosystem. When they approached us to expand it to include management of solid and hazardous waste regulatory efforts, expanding the existing system was realtively simple. The resulting solution integrated permitting and compliance, remediation, and cost-recovery solutions into KEIMS, and expanded its footprint to include multiple aspects of their land and waste management programs.

Waste-Watching in Wyoming

With full site management for permitting, inspections, compliance and enforcement, complaints, and incident reporting, our integrated solution, using Windsors nVIRO platform, WyWaste empowered our client to simplify and make more efficient their management of Wyoming's solid and hazardous waste sites, using low-code solutions that make it easy to update and maintain far into the future. In addition, tools were included in the ecosystem we developed to help them track financial and cost information by regulatory program.
